FTQ Recommends Fortisia to Its Affiliated Organizations

In many unions, the same situation comes up every year: a meeting to call, a negotiation that's picking up pace, and information that doesn't reach everyone at the same time. One member hears it from a coworker, another sees it on Facebook three days later, a third never finds out at all. The message exists, it just doesn't travel well.

That's the kind of situation that has led several union organizations to Fortisia over the past few months. The Fédération des travailleurs et travailleuses du Québec (FTQ), which represents more than 600,000 workers, now recommends Fortisia to its local sections and affiliated organizations as a mobilization and communication tool.

What led to this recommendation

Through contact with its affiliates, the FTQ observed a recurring need: reaching members directly, without relying on a third-party channel like Facebook or an email list that goes stale. Fortisia meets that need with a mobile app built specifically for union realities: push notifications, a news feed, real-time picket tracking.
